The BV9500 Plus operates on 4G, 4G-Extended and Spark’s new 4.5G frequencies and offers full global 4G roaming in any of the world’s 200 countries. Its monster battery allows for days between charges, which can significantly extend the life of your phone by reducing the number of charging cycles.
Powered by the impressive new Helio P70 AI chipset, the BV9500 has a 16MP dual Sony rear camera system for beautiful photography, and a 13MP Samsung front camera. If you want to match brains with brawn, this is the ultimate smartphone for you.
CHARGING OPTIONS – what you need to know: All our phones come with an NZ/AU Adaptive Fast Charger compliant with MTK chipset protocols. Ultra-fast charging is optionally available by using the manufacturer’s European charger (also supplied with phone) with the Antares travel adapter sold at Countdown and PaperPlus for $14.99. The Antares is rated to 10 amps (most ultra-fast chargers are between 3 and 5 amps) and complies with NZ safety standard SAA130534EA. Beware of sites offering “optional” $29.95 “fast chargers” as they may not deliver a fast charge unless the phone uses a Qualcomm (QC) chipset. Most rugged phones use MTK chips and a QC 3.0 wall charger won’t work properly. The optional high-power car chargers sold by the Outdoor Phone Store charge both QC and MTK phones.

, GizChina Gadget Reviews
The Blackview BV9500 Plus is the toughest rugged phone you can buy, and with double the processing power of a $1500 CatS61. If you don’t like fiddly little namby-pamby phones, then this is the tough phone for you. Built like a proverbial and carrying the Outdoor Phone Store’s exclusive screen warranty, this phone will give you five or six days between battery charges, which not only saves on your power bill but also increases the life of your phone.
IP69K testing involves firing high pressure jets of hot water at more than 1,400 PSI at the phone in lengthy endurance tests.
To achieve that toughness the phone has a deeper casing than lower-rated IP68 phones, and is about 5mm thicker than the slimmest of our current rugged models, the BV8000 Pro.
[Note: this is the only model in the 9500 series that is legal to sell or use in NZ or Australia. The more expensive BV9500 Pro is a prohibited import because its walkie-talkie function can interfere with restricted radio channels. If you find a retailer selling a walkie-talkie phone they can be fined up to $200,000, and if you buy one or import one for private use you can be fined up to $30,000 yourself. As we have said elsewhere, if the Outdoor Phone Store isn’t selling a particular phone there’s usually a very good reason.]
